1. Language programmes and bachelor's
YC Study guarantees at least one admission, but not admission to a named university.
If the original applications are unsuccessful, we may continue with alternatives that meet the degree level, subject direction, teaching language, budget and other reasonable conditions agreed in advance. If no admission is obtained after the full agreed process, the relevant YC Study application service fee is refunded.
2. Reasonable alternatives
An alternative must meet the core conditions confirmed in the written plan; an unrelated university or programme does not replace the original goal.
If the student refuses every reasonable alternative within the agreed range, YC Study cannot complete the guarantee process and the outcome guarantee ends.
3. Master's and PhD
YC Study guarantees at least one interview opportunity. If the student completes all obligations and receives no interview invitation, the relevant YC Study application service fee is refunded.
The guarantee is fulfilled once an interview invitation is received. A missed, late or unsuccessful interview, or a refusal after interview, is not a refund condition under this guarantee.
4. Scholarship applications
YC Study completes the agreed scholarship-information review, document preparation and applications in the written plan, but does not guarantee an award or a particular amount.
If the student completes every agreed application and obligation but receives no scholarship, 70% of the YC Study scholarship service fee is refunded. The remaining 30% covers completed assessment, document and application work. University, translation, notarisation, bank and other third-party charges are separate.
5. Outcomes not guaranteed
YC Study does not guarantee a scholarship, visa, named university, named supervisor, admission probability or third-party approval. The scholarship refund in the previous section applies to a no-award outcome and is not a guarantee of an award.
Website cases describe past anonymised outcomes and do not promise the same outcome for another student.
6. Student-caused exclusions
The guarantee does not apply where the process cannot continue because important information was hidden or misrepresented, documents were false, materials or payments were late or missing, an application, exam or interview was missed, every reasonable alternative was refused, or for another student-caused reason.
7. Events outside our control
Programme cancellation, sudden university or government policy change, visa or border decisions, and other events outside YC Study's reasonable control are handled against the contract, work already completed and workable alternatives. Such an event does not automatically mean YC Study has breached the service.
8. Refund scope and request
Where the language, bachelor's, master's or PhD conditions are met, the relevant YC Study application service fee is refunded; where the scholarship conditions are met, 70% of that service fee is refunded. University, exam, translation, notarisation, bank, visa and other third-party charges are excluded unless the written contract expressly says otherwise.
